Yes, in fact, most electric boilers are 100% efficient but their effiency depends on several factors.

  • Thermal Losses: Electric boilers don’t suffer from the same thermal losses as gas or oil boilers since they don’t have a flue or chimney. This can contribute to their overall efficiency.
  • Installation and Insulation: Proper installation and insulation of the building are crucial for maximising the efficiency of any heating system, including electric boilers. A well-insulated building will retain heat better, reducing the workload on the boiler and improving overall efficiency.
  • Usage Patterns: Efficiency can also be influenced by how the boiler is used. For example, setting the thermostat to an appropriate temperature and using programmable controls to match heating needs with occupancy can help optimise efficiency.
  • Maintenance: Regular maintenance of the boiler is essential to ensure it operates at peak efficiency. This includes tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, and servicing components as needed.

You will not necessarily need to replace your thermostat, but it is often advisable to upgrade your heating controls. They are relatively inexpensive and modern controls are more accurate and better able to maintain an even temperature within the home. They also give you more flexibility so that you can use your heating more efficiently.

Installation times will vary from home to home and depends on the amount of radiators and the size of the property, but we understand that upheaval to your home can be extremely stressful which is why we allocate the right amount of man power to ensure that every system is installed in a timely manner and to the highest standard, not without leaving your home just the way we found it. Below is an approximate guide but during a survey we will be able to determine the definite timescale to allow you to plan ahead.

  • Boiler only replacement – 1/2 day – 1 full day
  • Full new central heating system installation – 1-2 days
  • Air Source Heat Pump system installation – 1-3 days

As a condition of the guarantee, boilers need to be serviced every 12 months by an accredited engineer. This also ensures that they are running efficiently and safely. We offering servicing on all boilers that we install.

Yes, we are registered with SEPA for the removal and transportation of waste from your premises. We return this to our yard to carefully separate the rubbish for correct recycling.

Yes we certainly can, we can install a thermostat of your choice or if you need help choosing the right one, just ask, we can recommend some customer favourites.
